Iran goes up in FIFA ranking

TEHRAN - Iran has gone up one step in the latest world football rankings issued by FIFA on Wednesday.

Iran moved up to 43rd with 574 points. The team is fourth among Asian teams in the rankings, behind Japan, who took over from Australia, and South Korea respectively.
Spain stays on top of the rankings with 1880 points, followed by Holland, Germany and Argentina.
A total of 55 friendly matches were taken into account for the March edition of the FIFA World Ranking.
